SSD-5 product family

As soon as the companies have accurate times and exact operation lists of the products, they want to plan and control the production and cost the products fast from the database. So the other integrated SSD programs in the program family were planned and programmed based on the customers needs.
They are:

  • LOAD for work loading and capacity requirement calculations
  • BALANCE for production goal calculations, work instructions and line balancing.
  • Quick COST for fast costing and price simulation
  • PRODUCTION ANALYSIS for actual production costs and efficiencies and payroll calculations.
WORK LOADING

The purpose of the LOAD program is to find out possible bottlenecks and on the other hand the points in production, where there is too little work load. The versatile program can analyze the capacity requirements and the work loading by machine, by departments, by loading groups, by types of operation and by operator skills.

BALANCING

The BALANCE is a unique program, where the supervisor assigns the right operators to each operation and gets work instructions with production goals to the operators in the morning. The balancing module knows the operator's skills and efficiencies and thus assists the supervisor in balancing.
The line balancing can also be used in other types of production in order to set production goals and to give work instructions to operators.

PRODUCT COSTING

The Product costing program simulates prices and costs and creates price lists. Labor costs are already in the SSD but material consumptions and costs have to be entered in to the system. A nice feature is also material specifications with images.

PRODUCTION ANALYSIS

Production (efficiency) analysis is an integrated part of the SSD software. It is based on the operation file and the actual production plan entered or transferred in the system. The operation file information allows printing Bundle Tickets (with or without bar codes) for each bundle or Work Instruction/Goal sheets for each employee.

The actual production will be entered in the system in the end of the day or in real time.

The production database consists of operators, operations, numbers of pieces made, time used and other relevant information about the work done. The user can generate versatile reports that support decision-making and management of the production. The results can be exported into the company payroll system with an in-built, tailored data transfer program.

With Production Analysis the company gets:

  • Fast and accurate production efficiency reports by operator, by group etc.
  • actual production costs of styles
  • data for pre-payroll calculations
  • data on actual through-put of the production
