Computerized MTM-2
The customers, who have long production series and a high number of repetitions, need high accuracy. For these companies – mainly in the electronic industry – AJC has created the computerized Methods Time Measurement (MTM-2). Some other new elements are added to the database by AJC (like Walk, Read, Write, special Hand movements). Note that special MTM -training is required. The MTM-2 training can be carried out by AJC or a local licensed trainer.
Methods Time Measurement is an old standard for scientific time and motion studies from 1940’s. The MTM-2 elements have been created by the Swedish MTM Association in 1960’s and 1970’s.
The program is the same as SWD – only the data base is different. Also - some special printouts are available for MTM-2 users like several versions of two-hand analysis.
The original MTM-1 took 450 minutes of analysing time for one minute work, the MTM-2 took 150 minutes and the computerized MTM-2 takes some 20 minutes depending on how much macros and sub-methods one can use.
